30-40% of MNU honors students double major or select a minor to pair with their major.
If you’re a high achiever, MNU’s Honors Program can make your college experience more challenging and fulfilling. Students often study abroad, complete internships and practicums and enjoy interacting with honors students from other universities through our membership in The National Collegiate Honors Council.
Honors Program Director Mark Hayse walks you through the details of the program in this video.
Honors students have already showed us that they are achievers; here we can help them enrich their learning experience.
Honors students enjoy the freedom to customize approximately 15% of their coursework in ways that enable them to reach their academic and career goals more easily. As a result, honors students create comfortable space in their schedules to study abroad, pursue minors or double majors, conduct original research with faculty mentors, enjoy internships and practicums, or graduate early.
Interested students must submit portfolio applications for acceptance into the MNU Honors Program. Once accepted, honors students spend their first semester in a three-hour cohort seminar that orients them to the MNU Honors Program
